How to know your menstrual flow
# 6
How do I know if my menstrual flow is light, medium, heavy and how do I choose my Malucette tanga?
If you are unsure of which tanga to choose, this article is for you!
The menstrual flow
Menstrual flow is difficult to know and analyze. Indeed it can be liquid, thick, viscous, with clots, without clots…
The length of the cycle varies for each woman and more frequently lasts between 21 and 35 days with an average of 28 days and therefore corresponds to around 4 weeks.
The first step in the menstrual cycle is your period. This period lasts about 2 to 7 days and usually the heavy days are day 2 and 3.
The volume of blood varies from month to month and also depends on each woman. This represents an average of 30 to 50 ml lost during menstruation and 50 to 80 ml during heavy periods over 3 to 6 days.
contraception , a change in diet, lack of sleep or stress can disrupt the cycle and thus the flow of blood during periods.
At Malucette, we offer 2 levels of absorption suitable for all flows!
- The first one, " medium flow " is equivalent to up to 2 tampons / sanitary napkins.
- The second " heavy flow " is equivalent to up to 5 tampons / sanitary napkins.
The latter is generally used for at night when the flow is more substantial.
Our thongs are made to be worn until around 12pm but it depends on the person. The medium flow tanga can be changed every 6 hours or so but again it depends, because all bodies are different!
Our advice :)
→ In general, it is best to try a medium flow thong first. So you can get an idea of its absorption in relation to your flow and assess whether you need more absorption or not.
Now more than to test! <3
